The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking for bench help next month

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General by admin on Monday 28 January 2013 at 7:50 pm

The Los Angeles Lakers are 19-25 (43.2%) on the season, which has them in a tie for 10th in the Western Conference (with the Mavericks), 4 games behind the Houston Rockets for the #4 spot in the playoffs.  The Lakers have to think that they are still in the playoff hunt, as they have four future Hall of Fame players in their starting five.  The Lakers really covet Daniel Gibson of the Cavaliers because of his outstanding stroke from long range.  I’m thinking that the Cavs might accept an offer of center Robert Sacre, guard Darius Morris and forward Devin Ebanks for him.  If that is the case, the Lakers need to pull the trigger and make this deal.

    That’s a dumb trade

Sherman, none of those guys the Lakers would be trading are going to help the team any time soon. They don’t have draft picks to deal, so they have to move their younger players if they want to make a trade to help them make the playoffs this year.
