James Worthy was a solid player for the Los Angeles Lakers
Small forward James Worthy was a solid player back for the Showtime Lakers. He played in 926 games in his 12 years with the Lakers and he averaged 32.4 minutes, 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Worthy was legendary for being one of the best cherry pickers of all-time as he scored a lot of his points on uncontested, fast break dunks. He is #4 in Lakers’ history in games played. He is also #6 in points (16.320), #9 in assists (2,791), #3 in steals (1,041) and #6 in blocked shots (624) in Lakers’ history. Worthy was elected into Basketball’s Hall of Fame in 2003.
