65-year old head coach Phil Jackson decided to return for one more year after mulling retirement. Jackson led the Lakers to a 57-25 (69.5%) regular season record and the Lakers went 16-7 (69.6%) during the playoffs on their way to the second NBA Championship in a row. In 10 years with the Lakers, Jackson is 553-267 (67.4%) during the regular season and he is 114-57 (66.7%) during the post season. Banners hang from the ceiling from 1999-00, 2000-01, 2001-02, 2008-09 and 2009-10 which are years in which Phil Jackson led the Lakers to NBA Championships. Jackson has a career record during the regular season of 1,098-460 (70.5%) and he is 225-98 (69.7%) in his career in the post season. Jackson was elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007 and he has an amazing 11 NBA Championships as a head coach.
