The Los Angeles Angels are calling up 25-year old righty starting pitcher Nick Tropeano and he will rejoin the rotation and start tomorrow afternoon against the Tampa Bay Rays. Tropeano has pitched in 10 games (all starts) for the Angels so far this year and he is 3-2 with a 3.25 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP. The Angels will move 28-year old righty Jhoulys Chacin to the pen to open up the rotation spot for Tropeano. Chacin has pitched in 10 games (all starts) for the Angels so far this year and he is 2-5 with a 6.11 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP. He has given up 64 hits (5 homers) and 25 walks while whiffing 31 batters in his first 53 innings pitched for the Angels this year, so he was getting hit really, really hard!
