The Los Angeles Angels have designated 25-year old lefty swinging 3B Kyle Kubitza for assignment.  Kubitza played in 54 games in AAA-ball this year for the Angels and he was 47 of 186 (.253 avg, .714 OPS) with 22 runs scored, 2 homers, 19 RBIs and 6 stolen bases.  He played in 19 games for the Angels last year in his first taste of the show and he was 7 for 36 (.194 avg, .451 OPS) with 6 runs scored, 0 homers and 1 RBI.  Kubitza came into this season as the Angels’ #16 prospect, so he probably won’t make it through waivers….so they should try to deal him.

UPDATE:  (6/21/2016) – The Angels have dealt Kyle Kubitza to the Texas Rangers for cash considerations.
