The Los Angeles Angels lose Brandon Sisk for the year
The Angels will be without 27-year old lefty reliever Brandon Sisk for the 2013 season as he needs Tommy John surgery. Sisk came to the Angels in the Ervin Santana trade with the Royals over the winter. Sisk pitched in 50 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball for the Royals last year and he was 3-2 with 8 saves, a 2.54 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. He has now pitched in 198 games (9 starts) in his first five years in the minors and he is 20-18 with 42 saves, a 2.59 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. This is a bad break for Sisk, as he was likely going to get a shot to pitch for the Royals at some point in 2013.
