The Los Angeles Angels sign Mitch Stetter
The Angels have signed 31-year old lefty reliever Mitch Stetter to a minor league deal. Stetter pitched in 41 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball last year and he was 1-1 with a 2.67 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors back in 2011 for the Brewers. He has pitched in 132 games (0 starts) in his first five years in the majors and he is 8-2 with 1 save, a 4.08 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP. Stetter will get a shot next spring to win a job in the Angels’ pen as a situational lefty.
