The Angels have lost 29-year old righty swinging catcher Bobby Wilson on waivers to the Blue Jays. Wilson played in 75 games for the Angels last year and he was 36 of 171 (.211 avg, .569 OPS) with 19 runs scored, 3 homers and 13 RBIs. Wilson played in 191 games in his five years with the Angels and he was 81 of 389 (.208 avg, .593 OPS) with 36 runs scored, 8 homers and 37 RBIs. This is probably a good thing for Wilson as he has been buried on the depth chart in L.A. The Angels won’t likely miss Wilson too much in the future.
