The Los Angeles Angels release Trevor Bell
The Angels have released 25-year old righty reliever/starter Trevor Bell. Bell pitched in 13 games (all starts) in Rookie+AAA-ball this year and he was 1-6 with a 7.03 ERA and a 2.06 WHIP. He gave up 73 hits and he walked 27 batters in only 48 2/3 innings in the minors this year for the Angels, so he was terrible. Bell pitched in 52 games (11 starts) in his three years with the Angels and he was 4-8 with a 5.21 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP. Some team will pick up Bell relatively soon, but the Angels won’t miss him one bit.
