The Los Angeles Angels place Jerome Williams on the D.L.
The Angels have placed 30-year old righty starting pitcher Jerome Williams on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 19th due to asthma and anxiety issues. Williams has pitched in 13 games (12 starts) for the Angels so far this year and he is 6-5 with a 4.46 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. He has now pitched in 23 games (18 starts) in his first two years with the Angels and he is 10-5 with a 4.19 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. Williams could wind up losing his starting job to Garrett Richards while he’s out of action.
