The Angels have placed 32-year old lefty swinging outfielder Ryan Langerhans on the 15-day disabled list due to a separated right shoulder. Langerhans has played in 2 games for the Angels so far this year and he is 0 for 1 (.000 avg) with a strikeout. The Angels have called up 26-year old righty reliever Bobby Cassevah to replace Langerhans on the active roster. Cassevah has pitched in 18 games (0 starts) in A+AAA-ball this year and he is 1-0 with 4 saves, a 5.29 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP. He has pitched in 46 games (0 starts) in his first two years with the Angels and he is 2-3 with a 2.87 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. The Angels shouldn’t miss Langerhans too much, as Cassevah should be able to help the pen a little bit.
