Jered Weaver of the Los Angeles Angels tossed a no-hitter last night against the Twins
The Angels jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first four innings last night, to ease pressure on starting pitcher Jered Weaver. Weaver then went out and finished up the 10th no-hitter in Angels’ history. He walked only 1 batter and he whiffed 9, as he was simply downright nasty last night. He threw 77 of 121 (63.6) pitches for strikes as he was pounding the strike zone all night long. He is now 4-0 on the year. Howie Kendrick led the way offensively for the Angels last night as he was 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 1 homer and 3 RBIs. It was nice to see that Jered Weaver’s parents were at the game and his dad was sucking down a beer in the 9th inning as he appeared more than a little nervous. It was a special night for all involved in Anaheim last night!
