The Los Angeles Angels place Jerome Williams on the D.L.
The Angels have placed 30-year old righty starting pitcher Jerome Williams on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26th due to a strained left hamstring. Williams pitched in 10 games (6 starts) for the Angels last year and he was 4-0 with a 3.68 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He has now pitched in 86 games (77 starts) in his first six years in the majors and he is 27-29 with a 4.20 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. Williams should be ready to return to action when the Angels need a #5 starter.
