The Los Angeles Angels sign Juan Rincon
The Angels have signed 33-year old righty reliever Juan Rincon to a minor league deal. Rincon pitched in 42 games (0 starts) in Independent ball last year and he was 2-1 with 23 saves, a 2.98 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors back in 2010 with the Colorado Rockies. Rincon has now pitched in 444 games (3 starts) in his first 10 years in the majors and he is 35-29 with 3 saves, a 4.03 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. Rincon will get a shot to win a spot in middle relief for the Angels this spring.
