The Los Angeles Angeles sign Ryan Langerhans
The Angels have signed 31-year old lefty swinging outfielder Ryan Langerhans to a minor league deal. He played in 19 games for the Mariners last year and he was 9 for 52 (.173 avg, .664 OPS) with 6 runs scored, 3 homers an 6 RBIs. Langerhans has now played in 591 games in his first 9 years in the majors and he is 280 of 1,238 (.226 avg, .705 OPS) with 174 runs scored, 33 homers, 125 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. He is a good defensive outfielder, with some pop in his stick. The Angels will likely stash Langerhans in AAA when the 2012 season begins.
