23-year old righty swinging 3B Luis Jimenez came into this season as the Angels’ #22 prospect according to Baseball America and he’s showing why in AA-ball so far this year. Jimenez has played in 75 games in AA-ball for the Angels so far this year and he is 86 for 290 (.297 avg, .862 OPS) with 41 runs scored, 12 homers, 67 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. He has now played in 357 games in his first five years in the minors and he is 421 for 1,390 (.303 avg, .878 OPS) with 243 runs scored, 53 homers, 278 RBIs and 58 stolen bases. Jimenez might be the kind of prospect the Angels offer up in deals this month.
