36-year old lefty swinging Bobby Abreu is moving from the outfield to DH full-time in 2011. Abreu played in 154 games for the Angels last season and he was 146 of 573 (.255 avg, .787 OPS) with 88 runs scored, 20 homers, 78 RBIs and 24 stolen bases. Abreu will likely benefit from not playing in the field in 2011 so maybe he can get back to his career .296 batting average with a .888 OPS. In his last 13 seasons, Abreu has averaged 102.7 runs scored, 21.0 homers, 95.2 RBIs and 28.1 stolen bases per year. Look for Abreu to like being a DH in 2011 and for his bat to rebound.
