The Angels have signed 35-year old lefty reliever/starter Hisanori Takahashi to a 2-year deal. Takahashi pitched in 53 games (12 starts) in his rookie year for the Mets and he was 10-6 with 8 saves, a 3.61 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. He only gave up 116 hits in 122 innings last season while whiffing 114 batters showing that his stuff is pretty good. Takahashi can pitch late in games if needed as Fernando Rodney was shaky at times last season. He’s also capable of starting if the Angels need him to do that too. I really like this signing for the Angels.
