The Los Angeles Angels have two free agents heading into this winter

The Angels only have two free agents heading into this winter so I see them being very active. Here is a look at what I would do with the three free agents the Angels do have:

Hideki Matsui: 36-year old lefty swinging DH/OF Hideki Matsui played in 145 games for the Angels last season and he was 132 of 482 (.274 avg, .820 OPS) with 55 runs scored, 21 homers and 84 RBIs. VERDICT: Despite Matsui having a decent year I look for the Angels to go after a big time hitter for either the outfield or DH.

Scot Shields: 35-year old righty reliever Scot Shields had troubles coming back from knee surgery last year. Shields pitched in 43 games (1 start) for the Angels last season and he was 0-3 with a 5.28 ERA and a 1.72 WHIP. VERDICT: I would let him walk.

Only 2 FA chief..mighty maicer signed a 3 year deal last off season boss.
we NEED to non tender Mathis/Wood (no duh) trade/ eat up abreu/Rivera
sign Konerko for DH and insurance 1b (kmo injury)
Crawford/werth left field and sign beltre for 3rd (an average beltre is better than anything we have going for us) If konerko does not get signed (trade nap ad a nice package to brewers for prince fielder) if Crawford/weth dont get signed trade nap for red sux Jacoby for left field and if beltre doesn’t get signed for 3b Damn

You are right about Izturis G Flo. I got some bad info on a free agency list. I don’t think the Angels will get Konerko, Beltre and Crawford/Werth. I think a more realistic goal should be to go after Crawford, Beltre, Rafael Soriano and another decent reliever like Grant Balfour. The pen is a mess right now.
