He has started 32 games for the Angels this year and he is 17-9 with a 3.83 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. Santana has set a new career high in wins for his major league career. Santana always seems to pitch well in even numbered years. In his three even numbered years in his major league career he has started 97 games for the Angels in which he is 49-24 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. But in odd numbered years, Santana has been pretty awful pitching in 75 games (72 starts) in which he is 27-30 with a 5.17 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. Hopefully Ervin Santana bumps his career trends next season which is a odd numbered one.
