Ervin Santana will be pitching out of the bullpen for the Angels in the playoffs this season. He started 23 games for the Angels this season and he was 8-8 with a 5.10 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. He did not pitch too well in the regular season but the tiebreaker on keeping him out of the rotation was likely his post-season numbers. He has pitched in 4 games (2 starts) in his career in the post season and he is 1-1 with a 6.88 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. Still, Santana could be a huge asset in the bullpen when he can just let the ball fly for a inning or two using his nice array of pitches. He could be the Angels secret weapon in the playoff this season.
