Everyone knew that 27-year old righty swinging catcher Mike Napoli had power but not too many people expected him to hit for much of an averge. After all, he came into this season with a .248 career batting average in 252 games in the majors. Napoli has really hit the ball well this season. He has played in 92 games for the Angels this season and he is 92 for 323 (.285 avg, .870 OPS) with 52 runs scored, 17 homers and 48 RBIs. If Napoli can maintain his batting average at the .280 level next season he could develop into a All-Star backstop.
