The Los Angeles Angels sign Bobby Abreu
The Angels have signed 34-year old lefty swinging outfielder Bobby Abreu to a 1-year, $5 million dollar contract plus incentives. He played in 156 games for the Yankees last season and he was 180 for 609 (.296 avg, .842 OPS) with 100 runs scored, 20 homers, 100 RBIs and 22 stolen bases. He has now played in 1,799 games in his major league career in which he is 1,946 for 6,490 (.300 avg, .903 OPS) with 1,174 runs scored, 241 homers, 1,084 RBIs and 318 stolen bases. This was a great move for the Angels as Abreu will replace Garrett Anderson in left field.
