Last Monday Night the Angels’ season ended with a thud at Fenway Park. Chone Figgins had a solid game going 2 for 4. Torii Hunter was only 1 for 4 but his hit drove in two runs to tie the game in the 8th inning. A botched suicide squeeze in the 9th inning set the Angels up for disappointment which came in the 9th inning. Jed Lowrie knocked in Jason Bay in the 9th inning off of Scot Shields to end the Angels’ season. John Lackey pitched well enough to win this game working the first 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 earned runs. This will take a while to get over as the Red Sox defeated the Angels 3 games to 1.
