Boston Red Sox 4, Los Angeles Angels 1
The Angels lost last night for the 10th consecutive time in the post season to the Red Sox. The Angels couldn’t get anything really going on offense as they spaced out 9 singles in this game. Garrett Anderson, Mark Teixeira, Torii Hunter and Vladimir Guerrero each had two singles apiece in this game. John Lackey pitched good enough to win this game but he was the losing pitcher. He worked 6.2 innings and allowed 4 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 3 batters and whiffed 5. Scot Shields had a night to forget however as he worked 1 inning and allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs. The Angels are now down 1-0 to the Red Sox in this series.
