The Angels have almost locked up home field advantage in the playoffs so they are starting to look at some of their kids. Morales has gotten to play quite a bit this month and he’s showing why he could be an outstanding trading chip this winter. He has played in 22 games for the Angels this season and he is 13 for 52 (.250 avg., .740 OPS) with 7 runs scored, 3 homers and 6 RBIs. If the Angels are unable to re-sign Mark Teixeira they might consider giving Morales a chance to start for them. Either way, I see Morales getting a lot of playing time in the majors for someone in 2009.
