I have to disagree with that. When a team is outscored 19-4 in a series they don't deserve to win. As far as the 2003 Marlins are concerned....they won the World Series because they were better than every team they played in that post season.

Or, perhaps, the anti-Bartman?
By Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff
As he stood by the entrance to the Red Sox clubhouse, surrounded by a pack of reporters, Danny Vinik still couldn't quite comprehend what had just happened. His outstretched hand had landed the prize of the night, a foul ball off the bat of Manny Ramirez that he took away from the outstretched glove of Angels catcher Jeff Mathis.

The 17 year old son of Jeff Vinik, one of the limited partners in the Red Sox, got his moment courtesy of fifth-inning takeaway that allowed Ramirez to walk, then Mike Lowell to hit a sacrifice fly to tie the score of tonight's game at 3. Though he might not end up as Steve Bartman, he
"I still can't believe it," Vinik said, before assuring a reporter that it was the best catch in his baseball career. "It was unbelievable. Just seeing it up there, sticking my hand out there and it just landed in my hand. I don't remember really what happened. Just unbelievable, amazing."
